homemade granola

I wanted to try making my own granola after I saw my friend Sammie Jo’s photo of her homemade granola. It’s great because you can add ingredients of your choice- you can use different nuts, seeds & dried fruits. I did a modified version of the below recipe. I decided to use sliced almonds, cashews, chia seeds & dried cranberries. I didn’t use gluten-free oats but found a bag of rolled oats at Trader Joe’s. I used honey instead of maple syrup and skipped out on the apple juice and black pepper. You just mix all your ingredients and spread out the granola on a baking pan and bake! It is so easy to make- you can eat it as a snack or eat with yogurt. baked peaches with granola

I’m kind of addicted to Instagram. I love looking at amazing photos, learning new recipes & tips and sharing about places and food I eat too. I get so much inspiration just from looking at photos. I was scrolling through my feed and saw a photo of baked peaches with granola. I love how simple it is to make. From ohthatsgracie: “Cold mornings call for hot peaches: slice in half, sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg and a little sugar, top with granola & pop in the oven at 350 for 20 min. Delish.” It’s great for breakfast, a snack or dessert. You can serve with vanilla ice cream. The peaches get warm and juicy and you get a bit of crunchiness from the granola.
